Glue Line Sealers
Karnel, off-line continuous glue line tail sealer provides many advantages over traditional spray gluers and other methods of tail sealing. Designed with a stationary extruder, Karnel's glue line sealers use about 1/2 the glue and produce a consistent line that provides an easily released seal only one layer deep. Glue never ends up on the machine, so cleaning downtime is almost eliminated. Tests taken under continuous operation have proven the Karnel unit to be 98% efficient.
Karnel will custom fit the sealer to any system. The installation cost is typically 1/5 that of other units. With its patented compact design, the Karnel tail sealer fits into most floor plans with ease. The Karnel tail sealer is flexible in operation. Logs can be end or side loaded as well as end or side discharged.
Durability of Karnel's glue line sealers is enhanced with a simple, rugged design that uses few moving parts. Sealed bearings stop dirt and dust. DC motor drives ensure soft starts and stops, while also allowing infinitely variable production rates. In addition, an automatic chain tensioning device provides long chain life and automatic adjustment.
The Karnel tail sealer works with all forms of bathroom tissue and kitchen towel products. It is exceptionally effective with 2-ply substrates. Although easily adaptable to other machines, the Karnel glue line sealer is designed especially for use with PCMC 150 Series and 200 Series re-winders.
Optional Trimming Device
Karnel tail sealers may also be supplied with an optional trimming device. This unit can be used to remove the jagged cut produced by older Hudson Sharp and other re-winders. This simple and extremely cost effective device will dramatically improve the quality of your product.
